Sky Caterers is a Puerto Rican company, founded in 1991, which belongs to a group dedicated to food distribution businesses, institutions and airlines. The company is part of the conglomerate of MGI (Management Group Investors).

Strategically located with direct access to the International Airport facilities; Sky Caterers is the only food service company locally authorized and certified by regulatory agencies to provide meals to commercial airlines, and offer their services to corporate aircraft from the Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The services of this division range from flow management equipment for serving meals and drinks on board, to food preparation, storage products for airlines, transportation boarding of products and equipment to airplanes.


Facilities

 

The Company has the largest industrial kitchen and operations which are FDA-registered and USDA-inspected. Sky Caterers processes, prepares and distributes its products to airlines, hospitals, hotels, restaurants and other institutions.


Located at the Muñiz Base’s central area in Carolina, PR, the facilities have:

  • More than 200,000 square feet of construction

  • 4,481 square feet cafeteria

  • Strategically located with direct access to the International Airport facilities

  • Production areas for hot and cold food

  • Bakery prepares daily artisan breads and assorted pastries

  • 1800 KVA electric generators functioning at full capacity

  • Four 46,000-gallon potable water tanks beverage service to any type of aircraft.

  • 25 vehicles (vans, high lift trucks, pick-up truck) trucks to provide food and service

  • Dishwashing and Sanitization of rotable equipment and as well as laundry

  • Approved CBP compliance agreement to collect and dispose of foreign International garbage 

Compliance and Certifications


The highest priority at SKY CATERERS is to insure the quality and safety of all the food that is processed and served daily. As part of this commitment, the Company has a Quality Control Department that evaluates and monitors all the internal systems and processes. It also has all the certifications and necessary processes in place to be labeled as the “Top Rated” industrial kitchen in the Caribbean.

  • Sky Caterers is Hazard Analysis and Risk-Based Preventive Controls (HARPC) and  HACCP (Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Points) compliant.

  • FDA-registered and USDA-inspected.
